Speaking up about the 2012 movies
Which were the top five movies of 2012?
This was the topic for the latest episode of the LAMBcast (the official podcast of the Large Association of Movie Blogs), where I was one of the participants.
It turned out that there was a lot of disagreement and I ended up having to defend some of my picks against criticism from my fellow bloggers. How well did I succeed? You’ll find out if you listen to the show, where we also give out some special awards connected to 2012 and rant and rave over things that make us happy or discontent.
Apart from me, you’ll also hear Lindsay from French Toast Sunday, Nick from Your Face, and Justin and Dylan from Man, I Love Films.
LAMBcast episode 150 can be downloaded from iTunes. Use the search word LAMBcast.
You can also listen to it online.
Nice job, Jessica. This was a fun podcast because it covered a ton of different movies. I liked the disagreements, which don’t always happen on this type of year-end show. Everyone brought something to the table, and the conversations that sprung from the picks were very interesting.

Thanks Dan! We cerainly covered a ton of movies, even if we had limited ourselves to five movies rather than ten. The thing was that we had made very different lists. It made for a very long show. I’m really glad you enjoyed it!

I think you outgunned them all, Jessica … Also, just about everything you said about ‘Life of Pi’ (except the 3D), I would say about ‘Cloud Atlas.’

Thanks Steven! Cloud Atlas hasn’t opened here yet, but I’ll definitely see it when I get the chance.

That was a nice listen and I liked your rant/rave topic. We as bloggers can help spread the news about movies people wouldn’t normally think of watching.

Thanks Nostra! It’s a topic I keep coming back to. I think we have a role to play here.
