The Velvet Café

I’ve been a bit slow on posting recently. It’s not because I’ve stopped watching movies; my to-write-about queue contains five movies at this moment.

I’m afraid I’m still caught in the vacation bubble. A little bit slower and a little bit lazier than usual. I’m sure my writing urges will return to normal level shortly and you’ll get my thoughts about some recent releases such as Magic Mike, Your Sister’s Sister and Weekend.

If you miss hearing my voice I’ll give you a little something to munch on. Recently I’ve been interviewed twice by Bubbawheat. The first interview was posted at his own blog Tights, Flights and Movie Nights, which is a blog dedicated to superhero movies, which is reflected in the post. The second interview was published at the LAMB (Large Association of Movie Blogs) website, in a series presenting this year’s Lammy winners.

I hope you’ll have a wonderful weekend. Mine will include a meet-up with the Swedish film blogging network Filmspanarna. First we’re going to watch Total Recall and we’ll continue to a pub where we’ll spend the night talking intensely about  movies and blogging and – yes – about Total Recall.

It’s like magic. Even the crappiest of movies get a meaning when you have friends who can help you ripping it into pieces. Not that I say Total Recall is crappy or anything. We don’t go to movies with preset minds, do we? No, that can’t be.
