The Velvet Café

A room for thoughts about movies

Oops! The spotlight is on me!

with 12 comments

  • What prompted me to start a blog about movies?
  • What keeps me going?
  • Do I watch movies in a different way because I blog about them?

You’ll find the answers to those questions and a few others if you check out this post at My Filmviews.

This is a part in a series of interviews with movie bloggers that Nostra has been running for a while. If you’d like to see how I’m doing in the spotlight head over to his place. You won’t get any dancing or singing. But maybe you’ll get to know me a little bit better.

  1. I knew I should have added a question where you had to send in a Youtube video of you singing and dancing…missed opportunity 😉

    • Trust me – you wouldn’t have wanted to see me singing and dancing. Scott on the other hand… I’d really like to see what he can do on a stage!

  2. I haven’t seen The Remains of the day yet. Lost in Translation is also one of my favorite movies and, much like Eternal Sunshine, a very melancholic movie. Now that I think of it, Blader Runner is also quite melancholic.

Heck, now I want to make a top 5 list too 😉

    • I love melancholic movies. I think that’s obvious by now. 🙂
If you want to make top lists there’s an easy solution: join the world of movie bloggers and go and start your own place! It’s fun!

I love melancholic movies too. But that’s probably obvious already too.

        • It’s a very nice community that contains a wealth of knowledge and some very strong personalities. Sometimes we get a bit annoyed with each other but deep down there is affection too. You need to hang around for a while to spot it though.
          Don’t hesitate to pop by!

  5. Loved the interview, it’s always great to hear read about fellow bloggers, who they are in “real life”.

    • Yes, that series is really great fun to read. There are so many bloggers out there so he can keep going for quite a while. 🙂
